Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer in the Defense and Aerospace industry, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the manufacturing processes and products meet the highest quality standards and compliance requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement quality assurance measures, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to industry regulations. Your role will contribute to the overall success and reliability of defense and aerospace products.
Ideally looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience; working on corrective actions, supplier-issue resolution, review product issues, and support inspectors.
Qualifications and Skills:
*Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or similar).
*3-5 years previous relevant experience in a manufacturing quality engineering role, preferably in the defense and aerospace industry.
*Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, tools, and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, statistical process control, and root cause analysis.
*Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, and ITAR.
*Experience in conducting audits, inspections, and supplier assessments.
*Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, using statistical software and quality tools.
*Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
*Attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
*Professional certifications related to quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer) are a plus.
