We are looking for:
The Process Controls Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting process systems and applications. This includes associated operator interfaces, controller/network hardware, and communications infrastructure. In addition, the Process Control Engineer helps identify, develop, and troubleshoot new or existing control schemes to increase safety, quality, and profitability of plant processes. The Process Control Engineer actively participates in control system migration projects.

You will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Electrical engineering preferred, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering)
  • Heavy experience with Honeywell Experion DCS is required. Experience with Honeywell TDC-3000/TPS system is a plus.
  • Experience with PID controllers, including cascade, feed-forward, and split-range configurations.
  • Ability to tune PID loops for a variety of control loops (pressure, temperature, speed, etc.)
  • Experience with Ethernet networking, network switches/servers configuration, Microsoft domain management, and OPC server configuration.
  • Advance PLC experience with Rockwell Controllogix and Siemens S7
  • Experience with Rockwell, Siemens and Mitsubishi drives
  • Experience with Factorytalk, RSView and Siemens winCC HMI configuration
  • Working experience with DeviceNet, Profibus, ProfiNet, Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP/IP
  • Experience with engineering project justification, planning and execution at a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with capital project budgeting, man-power estimation, contract management, and proposal development
  • Ability to review vendor network, control panel, and electrical schematic drawings and provide feedback
  • Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including managers and colleagues overseas.

Preferred qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of industry experience supporting plant operations as a process control engineer (applications or systems engineering)
  • Knowledge of statistical process controls, Lean, and continuous improvement methods desired
  • Knowledge of chemical process and polymerization technologies or refinery processing technologies

  • The U.S. annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: $98,720 to $123,400. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, such as skills, experience, qualifications, etc. and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations

  • Must be able to perform successfully in a fast paced, high stress environment, performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
  • Must be able to occasionally work varied hours and overtime to accommodate production operation needs that occur outside of standard business hours
  • Must be able to use hands/fingers to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place detect and position productivity machinery such as production equipment and computers
  • Must be able to be exposed to and work in a production environment that can experience extreme swings in temperatures both cold and hot.
  • Must be able to stand and walk while working on a concrete floor 75% of the time
  • Must be able to able to carry, lift, transport and position material weighing a maximum of 50lbs
  • Must be able to push or pull equipment/material weighing up to 150 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders or balance to ascend, descend and traverse stairs and work platforms to perform work duties
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or position self to maintain and position material used in production
  • Must be able to see to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate and assess quality of product produced in production to meet quality standards
