Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness, the Bike Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of all bicycles and related equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine upkeep including fixing flat tires, replacing and lubricating chains, tightening components, and completing minor mechanical repairs on standard bicycles.
  • Conduct general inspections and complete tune-ups on multiple bikes during scheduled work periods to ensure they are safe and functional.
  • Identify worn or damaged components and replace basic parts such as tubes and chains.
  • Clean and maintain bicycles to extend lifespan and keep the fleet in good working condition.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure tools are properly stored and in working condition.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    Basic knowledge of bicycle maintenance.
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Basic knowledge of bicycle maintenance, including tire repair and chain adjustments.
    Ability to perform routine mechanical tasks using standard hand tools.
    Ability to identify common maintenance issues such as worn tires, loose components, or chain wear.
    Strong attention to detail to ensure bicycles are safe and in working condition.
    Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned maintenance tasks independently.
    Basic organizational skills to manage tools, parts, and workspace.
    Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
