Job Description

Solid skills in project scheduling utilizing a project scheduling tool such as MS Project. Solid skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to communicate technical terminology at levels appropriate to the audience both orally and in writing.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

2+ years of experience in project management utilizing a formal project management methodology, including experience in project planning, scheduling, tracking, issue management, risk management, change management, and status reporting. 2+ years of experience in project scheduling utilizing a project scheduling tool such as MS Project. 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience with State of Michigan SUITE Project Management Methodology (PMM) and System Engineering Methodology (SEM) preferred.

Qualifications

The technical environment for performing the work includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project), and Microsoft Outlook/Exchange. A project status report must be created and distributed to project stakeholders on a bi-weekly basis. Project information must be maintained in the State's PPM tool, and the status reports created from the PPM tool.
