Job description

State Fire is currently looking for a full-time Fire Sprinkler Foreman in Salt Lake City, UT. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years experience as a fire sprinkler foreman.
Your role as a Fire Sprinkler Foreman will include the following responsibilities:
  • Lead installer for commercial contract work.
  • Install various types of sprinkler systems, including wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, and deluge systems. This involves reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to ensure the system is installed correctly.
  • Regional travel may be required.
  • 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts, Monday - Friday.

Requirements
Qualifications:
โ€ข 3+ years fire sprinkler foreman experience.
โ€ข Possess any applicable state licensing.
โ€ข Knowledge of fire and building codes, OSHA, and other regulations pertaining to the job. MSHA preferred.
โ€ข Basic computer and software skills.
โ€ข Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, with acceptable driving record.
โ€ข Must have and maintain an acceptable national criminal background check.
โ€ข Must be able to pass a pre-employment urinalysis test.
โ€ข Ability to communicate effectively in English.
โ€ข Ability to work flexible hours and on-call, when necessary.
Physical Requirements:
โ€ข Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch or stoop for prolonged periods.
โ€ข Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
โ€ข Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and stairs.
โ€ข Ability to move about in areas with limited space and difficult access.
โ€ข Ability to safely lift, transport and place objects up to 70 pounds, without assistance.
โ€ข Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
โ€ข Ability to use trade-specific power tools such as hand tools, saws, pipe cutters, etc.
