Job Description

As an Intelligence Intern at Rhombus Power, you will work with our Intelligence Analysts to support the production of impactful intelligence assessments on topics including foreign military activities, weapons development, regional conflicts, and country stability to support U.S. and Allied national security decision making. You will use Rhombus' unique, AI-derived data, along with a spectrum of open-source information, to help generate intelligence products. Our intelligence interns support the Intelligence Team in aggregating data, conducting research and analysis on global security topics, developing reports and military installation overviews, and other tasks.

Candidates should have a strong interest in global affairs and familiarity with major global issues. They should be proactive, tech savvy, and able to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. Candidates should also have strong analytic and written and verbal communication skills.

We are hiring immediately. There is ample opportunity for successful interns to grow within the Analysis Department and transition to full time employees at the end of the internship.

This internship is available for full-time commitment ideally for Summer 2026. Current undergraduates (Juniors and Seniors preferred) and Graduate-level students are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Support impactful intelligence production that helps answer our customers' most complex intelligence questions
  • Develop a thorough understanding of client intelligence needs and ensure analytic contributions and production effectively and efficiently meet those needs
  • Utilize Rhombus' AI-informed intelligence capabilities and perform targeted open-source research to support individual and team intelligence production
  • Discover and assess open-source data streams that complement Rhombus' raw data or can help in solution development
  • Support enhancement of Rhombus intelligence capabilities by providing feedback on existing features and supporting the development of new applications and features
  • Develop and employ strong analytic tradecraft to produce intelligence products that are supported with evidence, properly cited, and clearly written

Qualifications

  • Pursuing BA or BS in International Affairs, Political Science, Economics, or similar social science.
  • Experience performing academic research and analytic writing.
  • Comfort using and developing qualitative and quantitative analytical methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Data analysis skills including geospatial analysis, Python, STATA, or R are highly desired.
  • Due to the nature of our work, we are only seeking U.S. citizens for this position.
  • Available a minimum of 12-weeks of full-time commitment for the Summer.
