Software Engineer
This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph to be considered.
A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.
Cherokee Preting is seeking Software Engineers to support the Erebus Program in Denver, CO. The Erebus Program is a newly awarded 7-year effort that delivers cutting-edge intelligence and geospatial data management applications and services to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Software Engineer:
Level 3 (Staff): $180,000 - $200,000
Level 4 (Senior Staff): $210,000-$240,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Software Engineer Responsibilities Include:
  • Meet current mission needs of the customer.
  • Pioneer future automation solutions
  • Develop innovative, machine-generated, and system-augmented geospatial analysis and production capabilities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Software Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Current TS/SCI with the willingness and ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph
  • Knowledge and experience developing multi-tiered or microservice applications.
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform. ie. AWS, Azure, Google.
  • Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • Strong scripting experience.
  • Linux experience.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
