Job description

Executive Center Director – Future Ownership Opportunity

???? Startup Childcare Program | Wisconsin

This is not a traditional childcare director role.

We are seeking a strong, driven, and entrepreneurial leader to help build and lead a growing childcare program with the long-term potential for ownership opportunities for the right person.

This position is ideal for someone who:

  • Thinks like a leader and problem-solver

  • Wants more than just a job

  • Is passionate about building culture, systems, and strong teams

  • Has the ambition to eventually step into a larger leadership or ownership role

We are looking for someone who is ready to help build something meaningful from the ground up.

???? What Makes This Opportunity Different

As a startup program, this role requires someone who is:

  • Hands-on

  • Adaptable

  • Organized

  • Self-motivated

  • Comfortable making decisions and taking initiative

This is an opportunity to help shape:

  • Program culture

  • Staffing

  • Systems and structure

  • Family relationships

  • Long-term program growth

The right person will play a major role in the success and future direction of the center.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the childcare center

  • Ensure licensing compliance and program quality

  • Support enrollment growth and family relationships

  • Develop systems, routines, and operational structure

  • Create a positive, organized, and professional environment

  • Collaborate with ownership on long-term goals and vision

???? What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has strong leadership and decision-making skills

  • Takes initiative without needing constant direction

  • Is solution-oriented and adaptable

  • Understands both childcare operations and team leadership

  • Wants long-term growth and responsibility

  • Is capable of helping build and eventually lead a thriving program

This role is best suited for someone who wants to grow into something bigger over time—not someone simply looking for a short-term management position.

Qualifications
  • Previous childcare leadership experience required

  • Director qualifications per Wisconsin licensing standards

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Experience leading teams and managing operations

  • Ability to build relationships with families and staff

  • Entrepreneurial mindset strongly preferred

???? Growth Opportunity

The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow alongside the program and potentially step into expanded leadership and future ownership opportunities as the center develops.

???? Compensation

Salary based on experience and qualifications but will vary between $22-$29 an hour

Additional compensation and growth opportunities may develop as the program grows.

Benefits:

✔ Paid Time Off (PTO)
✔ Paid holidays
✔ Supportive leadership
✔ Opportunity to grow with a new center
✔ Ability to help shape the program from the start
