Position Summary:

AAA, United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in McCalla, AL that specializes in custom marine vessel constructions.


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to lead the design and commissioning of custom electrical projects. This role requires a hands-on engineer capable of executing complex assignments from concept through implementation, with direct involvement in design, testing, installation, and startup.


Essential Functions:

  • Lead the electrical design of custom projects, including power distribution, control systems, and wiring schematics.
  • Develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and layouts using CAD or other design software.
  • Select and specify electrical components and equipment to meet project requirements.
  • Oversee or assist with the programming and integration of control systems (PLC/HMI) when applicable.
  • Lead or support the commissioning process, including system testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, safety standards, and customer requirements.
  • Provide technical support during and after project execution, including documentation and training as needed.
  • Travel to customer sites for commissioning, system integration, and troubleshooting (as required).
Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3โ€“7 years of experience in electrical design and project execution, preferably in custom or industrial systems.
  • Proficient in electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
  • Experience with electrical system commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with control systems, instrumentation, and PLC/HMI programming a plus.
  • Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed (domestic and/or international).
