Executive Startup Electrical Engineer Jobs (NOW HIRING)

The Electrical Startup Engineer position is an exciting opportunity to join PM Group’s quickly growing Outsourced Technical Services(OTS) team at a site near Zebulon, NC. Outsourced Technical Services (OTS) is an integral part of PM Group’s ability to support clients across the complete project life cycle. PM Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Startup Engineer to support the startup and operational readiness of a large-scale life sciences manufacturing facility. This is a field-based position focused on commissioning support, startup execution, troubleshooting, and turnover of electrical systems as the facility transitions into manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, automation, CQV, operations, maintenance, vendors, and construction teams to ensure assigned systems are safely and successfully brought into operation.

• Support startup and operational readiness activities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams during commissioning and startup.
• Participate in system walkdowns and punch list resolution.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during startup.
• Coordinate with Automation, CQV, vendors, Operations, and Maintenance.
• Support system turnover to manufacturing.
• Assist with startup documentation and issue tracking.
• Provide field support during initial production operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred
• Previous startup or commissioning experience within life sciences strongly preferred
• Excellent troubleshooting and cross-functional communication skills
• Ability to work full-time onsite

Preferred experience:

• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences manufacturing
• Large capital expansion or greenfield projects
• Startup and commissioning
• Field engineering experience
• Electrical power distribution
• Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Low-voltage electrical systems
• GMP manufacturing environments
