Job description

About Talentive by Be Additive Tech

Be Additive Tech’s Talentive platform www.mytalentive.com provides startups access to senior AI technical contractors from global markets - vetted, deeply skilled, and available within 2–3 weeks, at less than half the cost of equivalent local employees. Contractors are remote and fully integrated into our clients’ engineering teams, with flexible contract tenures ranging from three months to two plus years.

Be Additive operates subsidiaries in India and the Philippines and has established legal employment partnerships across 41 additional countries. We handle sourcing, vetting, compliance, and workforce management so that startups can scale quickly without friction or expansion overhead.

Be Additive is led by experienced founders and operators with deep expertise in recruiting, technology, and scaling global organizations. Our leadership team previously built and scaled a global recruiting company to nearly 1,000 employees serving hundreds of clients worldwide. We are building a modern AI-first company designed for the next generation of startups.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional entry-level sales role. We are looking for a highly ambitious, outgoing, entrepreneurial early-career professional to become the face of Talentive within the Silicon Valley AI and startup ecosystem.

You will spend your time immersed in the Bay Area startup community attending events, meeting founders, building relationships, creating content, identifying emerging AI companies, and helping generate sales opportunities for Talentive.

You will report directly to the Founder and CEO, work closely with senior management, and be given significantly more responsibility, visibility, and access to company leadership than is typical for an early-career position. You will gain firsthand exposure to:

  • AI startups
  • Founder-led sales
  • Startup growth strategy
  • Thought leadership marketing
  • Community-driven business development

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a career at the intersection of AI, startups, business development, community building, and entrepreneurship. For the right person, this is an opportunity to compress years of professional development into a much shorter period through direct CEO mentorship, unusual responsibility, participation with senior management, and daily immersion in the Silicon Valley AI ecosystem.

Career Growth and CEO Mentorship

This position is designed as an accelerated career opportunity. You will report directly to and work closely with Hank Levine, Founder and CEO of Be Additive Tech. Hank has built and led large sales and recruiting organizations and has personally trained and developed dozens of business development professionals. You will receive ongoing, hands-on coaching in relationship building, consultative selling, founder outreach, business strategy, and professional development.

Because most of Be Additive Tech's management team is located outside the United States, you will have unusual visibility and responsibility within the company from day one. You will interact directly with senior management and will have opportunities to contribute well beyond the normal scope of an early-career business development position.

We expect top performers to advance quickly. Someone who demonstrates the ability to generate business, build relationships, exercise good judgment, and take on increasing responsibility could move into a significantly more senior role within just a few years.

We also recognize that this role will put you in contact with many of Silicon Valley's most interesting AI companies, founders, and executives. As you build your reputation and network, other opportunities will inevitably emerge. Our goal is to make your growth trajectory, responsibilities, restricted stock ownership, and opportunities at Be Additive Tech compelling enough that you will want to build your career with us.

Exceptional performers will have the first opportunity for leadership roles spanning business development, partnerships, growth marketing, community leadership, startup ecosystem development, and founder relations.

What You’ll Do

Build a Powerful Silicon Valley Network

  • Immerse yourself in the Silicon Valley AI ecosystem, attending 5+ carefully selected AI, startup, venture capital, and founder events each week
  • Build authentic relationships with founders, investors, startup operators, and AI professionals
  • Over time, become a recognized and trusted presence within the Bay Area AI startup community
  • Identify companies actively building AI products and understand their hiring and scaling challenges
  • Generate introductions and schedule qualified demos for the Talentive leadership team

Create Content and Build Influence

  • Publish event recaps, founder interviews, AI startup observations, and thought leadership content
  • Create LinkedIn posts, short-form videos, and ecosystem commentary
  • Contribute blog content for startup and AI organizations
  • Help position Talentive as a respected voice within the AI startup ecosystem
  • Use modern AI tools to accelerate content creation and research

Support Founder-to-Founder Outreach

  • Research funded AI startups and identify high-potential target companies
  • Help prepare highly customized outreach campaigns under the CEO’s name
  • Assist with personalized outreach across email, LinkedIn, text, and Loom videos
  • Develop messaging tailored to each company’s specific business and technical priorities

Learn Startup Business Development

  • Gain direct exposure to consultative sales and startup growth strategy
  • Learn how founders evaluate talent, scaling, product execution, and hiring challenges
  • Work closely with company leadership on market positioning and growth initiatives
  • Help identify partnership and ecosystem opportunities

Who You Are

  • Extremely outgoing, energetic, and comfortable approaching new people
  • Has the confidence to walk into a room full of strangers, start conversations, and leave having made meaningful new relationships
  • Passionate about startups, entrepreneurship, AI, and emerging technologies
  • Strong communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Naturally curious and intellectually engaged
  • Comfortable attending frequent networking events and representing the company professionally
  • Highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial
  • Interested in building a long-term career in startups, AI, business development, or venture ecosystems
  • Strong social media presence or content creation experience is a major plus
  • Experience with LinkedIn content, blogging, short-form video, or community building is highly desirable
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment with significant autonomy
  • More motivated by rapid learning, responsibility, achievement, and long-term career upside than by maximizing your starting salary

Preferred Background

  • Early-career professional, typically with 0–3 years of experience; exceptional recent graduates will also be considered
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area / Silicon Valley
  • Degrees in business, communications, marketing, entrepreneurship, journalism, technology, or related fields are welcome
  • Previous startup, sales, marketing, recruiting, venture, influencer, or community-building experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI tools and platforms preferred

Compensation

This is a ground-floor opportunity that includes restricted stock, giving you the opportunity to participate financially in the value you help create. Expected first-year cash compensation is approximately $90,000 and includes:

  • Monthly base salary
  • Bonuses for qualified product demos scheduled
  • Commission participation for closed business generated from sourced opportunities

Why This Role Is Different

Most entry-level business development roles involve cold outreach from behind a laptop. This role puts you directly inside one of the most important AI and startup ecosystems in the world. You will build relationships with founders, investors, operators, and emerging AI companies while developing real-world experience in:

  • Startup ecosystems
  • AI industry trends
  • Founder-led growth
  • Community-driven marketing
  • Thought leadership
  • Relationship-based business development

You will have a front-row seat to the future of AI startups and how next-generation technology companies scale.

Location

  • Must be located in San Francisco Bay Area / Silicon Valley
  • This is a full-time role requiring frequent in-person event attendance and networking throughout the Bay Area.
  • Candidates should already be located in the Bay Area. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Contact and Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to Hank Levine, Founder and CEO of Be Additive Tech.
