Our client is seeking Special Education Paraprofessionals in the Mt. Pleasant area for the 2026/2027 School Year, starting at $19/hr depending on contractor's qualifications, availability, and skill.
CLIENT'S AVAILABLE HOURS:
* School Hours - Monday to Friday (Schedules vary by school level)
CLIENTS SUMMARY OF THIS OPPORTUNITY:
* Helps prepare, collect and set-up materials for student participation, following teacher's instructions.
* Provides instructional, behavioral, or physical assistance to students individually or in small groups at the direction of the teacher to reinforce and follow up instruction
* Assists with small and large group activities such as drill work, reading aloud, and storytelling
* Maintains daily activity logs for your assigned student (s)
* Alerts teacher to any problem or special information about the individual student(s)
* Assist in checking and correction of papers and preparation of materials under the direction of the teacher.
* Assist with audio-visual and computer setups and operation.
* Monitor the instruction activities of the student and assist as appropriate or as directed by the classroom teacher.
CLIENTS REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Must have own transportation
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
* Experience working with Special Needs children highly preferred.
* Must be able to pass state and national background checks.
