We are currently seeking a IT Release Manager - Remote to join our team in Dallas, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Release Manager

Job Summary

The Release Manager supports the planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of new and recurring IT release activities across a broad range of IT functions, including application and infrastructure environments.

The Release Manager demonstrates knowledge of the tools, processes, and practices required to manage simple to moderately complex releases. This role works closely with technical teams, project teams, deployment sponsors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure releases are executed according to approved plans, timelines, and established ITIL and Change Management processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and coordinate release activities for simple to moderately complex application and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Manage assigned release activities across multiple applications, teams, and projects, including tracking dependencies and milestones.
  • Collaborate with team members, deployment sponsors, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful and timely release execution.
  • Maintain release schedules, documentation, archives, and related records.
  • Monitor upcoming releases, maintenance activities, dependencies, risks, and required resources.
  • Ensure release activities comply with established ITIL, Change Management, and Release Management policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Track release progress and provide timely status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate resources and activities required to support successful release execution and identify additional resource requirements as needed.
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute release schedules, status reports, and other deployment-related materials.
  • Execute release closeout activities and participate in post-release reviews to evaluate outcomes and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Support security, compliance, risk management, service-level agreements, and quality requirements.
  • Contribute to release automation, CI/CD initiatives, and continuous improvement of release management processes.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in IT Release Management, Change Management, IT Operations, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience coordinating application and infrastructure deployments in enterprise environments.
  • Experience managing release schedules, dependencies, documentation, and stakeholder communications.
  • Experience working within formal ITIL-based Change and Release Management processes.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of release management tools, deployment processes, and production support practices.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Basic understanding of IT security, compliance, risk management, and governance requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience serving as a project, workstream, or technical lead.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management certification.
  • Experience with release automation and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience supporting Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Experience facilitating post-implementation reviews and driving process improvements.
  • Knowledge of enterprise change management frameworks and governance processes.
  • Experience with project coordination or project management activities.

Pay Transparency

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $ $75,884-$147,663. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. 

This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
