Stargate Project information

What companies are working on project Stargate?

The Stargate Project was a secret U.S. government program focused on psychic research and remote viewing, primarily conducted by government agencies such as the CIA and the U.S. Army. Several private contractors and research organizations collaborated on related projects, but specific companies involved are not publicly disclosed due to the classified nature of the program.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Project Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Project Manager, you need strong organizational abilities, project planning expertise, and usually a degree in business or a related field. Familiarity with project management software like Microsoft Project or Asana, and certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2, are commonly required. Leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for coordinating teams and managing stakeholders. These skills ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and with successful team collaboration.

What jobs in the US pay 300,000 a year?

In the context of high-level roles like those associated with the Stargate Project, executive positions such as chief executives, senior scientists, and specialized consultants can earn $300,000 or more annually. These roles typically require advanced degrees, extensive experience, and often involve leadership, security clearance, or specialized skills. Many of these positions are found in government agencies, defense contractors, or private sector firms working on advanced research and technology projects.

What 3 jobs will not be replaced by AI?

Jobs that require complex human interaction, such as mental health professionals, skilled trades like electricians, and creative roles like writers or artists, are less likely to be fully replaced by AI. These roles depend on emotional intelligence, hands-on skills, and originality that AI cannot replicate fully. However, AI may assist rather than replace these professions entirely.

What jobs will Stargate create?

The Stargate Project is a classified government program focused on research related to remote viewing and psychic phenomena, not job creation. As such, it does not directly create jobs but may involve roles in research, intelligence analysis, and scientific development for qualified professionals in those fields.

What is the Stargate Project?

The Stargate Project was a secret U.S. Army unit established in 1978 at Fort Meade, Maryland, by the Defense Intelligence Agency and SRI International. Its purpose was to investigate the use of psychic phenomena, such as remote viewing, for military and intelligence applications during the Cold War. The project aimed to determine if individuals could use extrasensory perception (ESP) to gather information about enemy activities and locations. It was declassified in 1995 after evaluations suggested its findings were not consistently reliable for intelligence purposes.

What is the difference between Stargate Project vs Network Security Specialist?

Job description

At Relativity Space, we're building rockets to serve today's needs and tomorrow's breakthroughs. Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity. But that's just the start. Achieving commercial success with Terran R will unlock new opportunities to advance science, exploration, and innovation, pioneering progress that reaches beyond the known.

Joining Relativity means becoming part of something where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level. Here, you're not just executing tasks; you're solving problems that haven't been solved before, helping develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up. Whether you're in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you'll collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time. Relativity is a place where creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand, and your voice will help define the stories we're writing together. Now is a unique moment in time where it's early enough to leave your mark on the product, the process, and the culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and picking up momentum. The most meaningful work of your career is waiting. Join us.

About the Team:

Relativity Space pioneered large-scale additive manufacturing with our Terran 1 rocket, the largest 3D-printed object to fly. Now a distinct business unit within Relativity, Horizon Manufacturing Technologies is advancing next-generation manufacturing for aerospace and beyond. The team operates at the frontier of manufacturing innovation, where creativity meets capability. This is an environment where cutting-edge R&D is put into production, industrializing advanced manufacturing capabilities to solve customer problems. You'll work alongside welders, robotics engineers, data scientists, and systems engineers at the intersection of hardware and software, creating an end-to-end additive manufacturing platform that serves a wide variety of applications. From exploring new materials to unlocking faster print speeds, to designing complex, organic geometries that can't be built any other way, it's high-impact work that sets the foundation for the future of advanced manufacturing.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with broad technical skills and a hands-on mindset to develop and own the crucial backend software infrastructure that connects robotics software, data platform, machine learning, and digital twin of our Stargate autonomous additive manufacturing platform. This role is ideal for a software engineer who thrives in cross-functional environments, enjoys owning full projects from design to deployment, and is comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving R&D setting.

You'll contribute to the core software infrastructure that connects edge hardware, ML inference systems, real-time process monitoring tools, and visualization platforms. You'll work closely with robotics, data, ML, and infrastructure engineers to develop clean, reliable, and maintainable software that integrates tightly with hardware and real-world processes.

  • As a member of Horizon's Data Platform team, you'll develop user-facing applications, APIs, and Create/Read/Update/Delete services that expose data platform capabilities to end users
  • Create backend services that integrate with data architectures and enable data consumption
  • Develop frontend interfaces for data visualization, analytics, and platform management
  • Deploy and maintain software in both edge and cloud environments
  • Collaborate with robotics software engineers to integrate your software with the robotic operating system
  • Contribute to internal tooling that improves developer productivity and system observability

About You:

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Experience developing and shipping production-quality software with real-world operational constraints
  • Proficient in whatever languages and tools you love most, and willing to learn new ones
  • Ability to independently identify, scope, design, and execute software projects
  • Understanding of databases, pipelines, and platforms, and how to write software that interacts with them
  • Experience designing in collaboration with non-software stakeholders

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Experience developing software for robotics or additive manufacturing applications
  • Familiarity with Robot Operating System (ROS)
  • Prior experience in a small company or startup where you owned software end-to-end

At Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Compensation is only one part of our total rewards package. Relativity Space offers competitive salary and equity, a generous PTO and sick leave policy, parental leave, an annual learning and development stipend, and more! To see some of the benefits & perks we offer, please visit here.
