Job description

MTSI is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to support an advanced air platform program at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH.
Job Duties:
• Advise project leads and engineers on test engineering as it applies to highly technical program office efforts.
• Contribute to test planning working groups, technical interchanges, and day-to-day interactions with small government and industry teams.
• Develop and execute program test activities, including the planning, execution, and reporting of test projects.
• Derive and manage system/sub-system requirements with traceability to higher level program office objectives.
• Perform systems engineering trade studies, design and integration trades, end-to-end performance evaluation, and risk mitigation planning.
• Contribute to laboratory infrastructure development to meet test capability needs.
Required Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to lead test management tasks, including the planning, resourcing, execution, and reporting of system test projects. • Proven ability to apply systems engineering, test engineering, and test operations expertise to a wide range of developmental subsystems and integrated architectures.
• Strong expertise in configuration control standards, methods, and application to system modifications.
• Excellent written, verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in fast paced environment.
• Experience handling information, data, and equipment at classification levels.
Desired Skills:
• Working knowledge and practical application of hardware/software integration and testing in ground/flight laboratory environments.
• Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools; with applicability to subsystem prototyping, system interfaces and performance predictions.
• Working knowledge of DoD and Air Force acquisition processes and documentation relating to system development, weapon systems integration, and test and evaluation.
• Knowledge of radio frequency, electro-optics, avionics, or related discipline(s).
• Data reduction and analysis expertise.
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience directly related to the above responsibilities
• Bachelor of Science in relevant scientific or technical discipline and 5+ years of job-related experience, or a master's degree plus 3+ years of job-related experience.
• Possess an active Top Secret security clearance, based upon a Single Scope Background (SSBI or SBPR).
• Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) access
