Job Summary:
Standard Electric Supply Co. is a family-owned wholesale distributor of electrical and automation supplies, proudly serving customers for 106 years. The Systems Support Specialist plays a key role in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly by providing dependable technical support to associates, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and ensuring system security.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide timely and effective technical support to end users via phone, email, or in-person, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
โ€ข Maintain appropriate security measures across the corporate network and user devices
โ€ข Configure, install, and maintain computers, printers, and phone equipment.
โ€ข Monitor and troubleshoot network, Wi-Fi, and server systems to ensure optimal performance.
โ€ข Perform onboarding and offboarding tasks, including user setup, system access, and equipment provisioning.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Associates degree in Information Technology or a related field.
โ€ข Entry-level experience in IT support or a similar role.
โ€ข Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
โ€ข Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation.
โ€ข Ability to communicate clearly and provide excellent internal customer support.
