We are a privately-held independent metal fabrication company that produces components used in a wide range of industries. Our goal is to provide products and services that meet our customers? needs in a timely fashion with the highest level of quality and value.

Our capabilities are constantly expanding and currently include metal stamping, laser cutting, brake forming, tubular stamped components, CNC and Swiss machined parts, wire forms, thread rolling, weldments, and integrated assemblies. Our modern facility includes a complete in-house tool and die department and fastener distributorship.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare detailed Cost Estimates for new projects and review existing Cost Estimates for accuracy and current cost inputs.
  • Collect and analyze data in order to assess the manufacturing feasibility, time, money, materials, and labor required to manufacture parts.
  • Understand the customer?s requirements, design intent, and deadlines.
  • Interact with customers, sales, engineering, purchasing, production, and others to establish accurate cost inputs.
  • Compute cost factors and prepare timely estimates.
  • Retrieve and analyze data for process improvements.
  • Adopt and incorporate quality methods into their work.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong background in metal fabrication, metal stamping, and/or machining processes.
  • Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D technical drawings/prints and understand customer specifications.
  • Knowledge of various metal types and grades
  • Knowledge of method/time studies and ability to calculate estimated run rates.
  • Knowledge of finishing processes (paint, heat-treating, plating, polishing, etc.).
  • Capable of determining the most cost efficient method for production.
  • Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive, ?can do? attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.

THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Certificate from a college or technical school
  • Relevant experience in cost estimating and/or manufacturing.

This is a full time position in the competitive and challenging metal manufacturing field. The pay range/rate of pay for this position may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
