Job description

Cleveland Area Manufacturing/Metal Stamping Plant seeking an assistant plant manager who will effectively lead and manage all aspects of daily operations, exceeding customer satisfaction in quality, compliance and ensuring on-time delivery.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage and supervise all plant personnel.

2. Responsible for scheduling, planning and production output. Make effective use of all company resources to the highest level of efficiency to ensure product quality, compliance and on-time delivery.

3. Plan, organize, coordinate, direct and lead all company departments and managers; increase profitability; and exceed customer satisfaction.

Additionally, must include the following skills and experience:

  • Hiring and training of new employees
  • Monitor worker and plant safety
  • Enforce company standards, policies, safety and OSHA compliance
  • Assist in exceeding operational goals through continual improvements and efficiency
  • Direct and schedule production and safety meetings
  • Working knowledge and experience within the steel and fabrication industry
  • Responsible for profit and loss at plant level
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 years Management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and policies
  • Strong team building and management skills
  • Must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task
  • Computer experience necessary, preferably with a manufacturing ERP system
