Position Overview 

This is a skilled position requiring the employee to perform a variety of tasks pertaining to the purchasing department and other office support functions. 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) 

• Will procure all types of materials required for company operations 

• Will place bids and ensure competitive pricing on all materials 

• Will make arrangements for deliveries to the requestor 

• Will track and maintain the procurement process of all materials 

• Other duties will be assigned as needed within the purchasing department. 

Qualifications 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

Education/Experience 

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Knowledge/Skill Preferences

• Basic Viewpoint system knowledge.

• Previous procurement experience.

• Basic knowledge of truck terminology and equipment.

Physical Requirements 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move anywhere up to 25 lbs.  Physical agilities test may be required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

Work Environment 

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
