The targeted hourly rate range is $32.00 per hour to $39.00 per hour. Final offer will be determined based on experience, education, training/certifications and specialized skills.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Learning Engagement Business Partner serves as the strategic link between Learning & Development (L&D) and business leaders across the credit union. This role partners with departments to identify performance opportunities, assess learning needs, and align development solutions with organizational goals, member experience expectations, and regulatory requirements. The Learning Engagement Business Partner acts as a trusted consultant, ensuring learning programs drive employee capability, engagement, leadership growth, operational excellence, and business results through engagement facilitation, solution development, and performance consulting.


As a key member of a full-service Learning & Development team, this role collaborates with other L&D team members (e.g., instructional designers, facilitators, LMS administrators, leadership development specialists, business stakeholders) to create and implement impactful learning strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the credit union.
  • Consults with business units to understand strategic objectives, workforce challenges, and performance gaps.
  • Conducts needs assessments to identify learning, performance, and development opportunities.
  • Translates business needs into learning and talent development solutions.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor on employee development, change management, and onboarding.


Learning Strategy & Program Management

  • Collaborate with L&D team members to design and implement comprehensive learning initiatives.
  • Develops learning roadmaps that support departmental and organizational priorities.
  • Partners with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and business relevance.
  • Supports enterprise-wide initiatives including digital transformation, compliance, sales and service excellence, and employee engagement.
  • Manages learning projects from assessment through implementation and evaluation.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate alignment meetings with department leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Promote awareness and adoption of learning programs and development resources.
  • Gathers feedback to continuously improve learning offerings and employee experiences.
  • Serve as an L&D ambassador and advocate throughout the organization.


Performance Consulting

  • Applies performance consulting principles to identify root causes of business challenges.
  • Recommends appropriate solutions, including training, coaching, process improvements, job aids, or change management strategies.
  • Analyzes performance metrics and learning outcomes to measure effectiveness and business impact.
  • Presents findings, recommendations, and progress updates to leadership.


Engagement Facilitation

  • Facilitates instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning programs for employees, leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Delivers engaging learning experiences that promote participation, discussion, practice, and knowledge retention in alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Adapts facilitation techniques to meet the needs of diverse learner groups and varying levels of experience.
  • Facilitates professional development, service excellence, sales effectiveness, compliance, and operational training programs.
  • Creates a positive learning environment that encourages collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning.

Solution Development

  • Designs and develops learning solutions using a variety of modalities, including instructor-led training, virtual learning, e-learning, blended learning, microlearning, job aids, videos, infographics, and process support documents and tools.
  • Applies adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning best practices to create engaging and impactful learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content, validate learning objectives, and ensure content accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Develops measurable learning objectives, assessments, and evaluation strategies to ensure learning effectiveness and knowledge transfer.
  • Creates learning materials and resources that support employee onboarding, technical training, compliance requirements, leadership development, sales and service excellence, and professional growth.
  • Manages learning projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Partners with Learning Engagement Business Partners and business leaders to align learning solutions with organizational priorities and performance goals.
  • Maintains and updates learning content to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with changing business needs, regulations, and processes.
  • Leverages learning technologies and digital tools to enhance engagement, accessibility, and learner experience.


Change Management & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Supports organizational change initiatives through communication, training, and engagement strategies.
  • Assists leaders and employees in adopting new processes, technologies, and business practices.
  • Promotes a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience / Training / Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in training and development, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Talent Development experience in a corporate environment.
  • Financial services, banking, or credit union experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven business partner, consultant, or relationship manager experience preferred.
