Job description

The Bethel Productions team is seeking one zero-hour Tier I Audio Engineer. The Tier I Audio Engineer is an entry-level position on the Production Team at Bethel Church. This role supports smaller services, events, and classroom environments by operating audio systems in prepared spaces. Audio Engineer I team members assist with basic setup, learn foundational signal flow, and support the team by owning smaller rooms or classes with care and reliability.

Hours: Between 0 and 10 hours per week regularly
Candidate hired into this position can expect between 0-10 scheduled hours each week, with the possibility of additional hours if/as they become available.

Core Responsibilities

  • Operate audio systems for midweek events, classrooms, and smaller gatherings
  • Assist with stage setup, cabling, and microphone placement as directed
  • Learn FOH, monitor, and broadcast routing in a live environment
  • Support troubleshooting under supervision and communicate issues clearly
  • Help maintain gear organization and workspace cleanliness
  • Support documentation efforts by taking notes or updating small tasks
  • Assist with seasonal stage transitions or event setups as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrates humility, teachability, and readiness to learn
  • Basic familiarity with digital mixing consoles, wireless systems, or DAWs
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Communicates clearly with other staff and ministry leaders
  • Demonstrates care for equipment and gear
  • Committed to personal, spiritual, and professional development
  • Willingness to work nontraditional hours, including nights and weekends
  • This position does not qualify for sponsorship of work authorization or an employment visa, so candidates must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. to be considered for this position.
