They may also assist with onboarding and ensure compliance with employment laws. Their goal is to ensure organizations have the right people in the right roles efficiently.

What is the 70 30 rule in hiring?

The 70/30 rule in hiring suggests that 70% of a candidate's evaluation should focus on skills, experience, and qualifications, while 30% should consider cultural fit and soft skills. Staffing professionals often use this guideline to balance technical ability with interpersonal qualities during the selection process.

To thrive as a Staffing Specialist, you need strong knowledge of recruitment processes, talent acquisition strategies, and relevant HR regulations, typically supported by a degree in human resources or a related field. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter is essential. Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and adaptability help build relationships with candidates and hiring managers. These skills ensure effective placement of qualified candidates and support organizational staffing needs efficiently.

How does a staffing professional typically collaborate with hiring managers to ensure successful placements?

Staffing professionals work closely with hiring managers to understand the specific requirements and expectations for each open position.
