Your Role:


As Grade Level School Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering high-quality instruction that promotes student achievement and growth. You will use data to inform instruction, differentiate learning experiences, maintain a positive classroom environment, and collaborate with staff and families to support student success.


For bilingual positions, all instructional and professional responsibilities must be performed in both English and Spanish. Curriculum delivery and student assessments must also be administered in both languages.


What You'll Do:

  • Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with Common Core Standards and the school's adopted curriculum
  • Create a positive, organized, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student learning and positive behavior
  • Administer formal and informal assessments and use student data to drive instruction and differentiate learning
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams, Special Education staff, ESL teachers, and administrators to support student achievement
  • Ensure instructional practices reflect current best practices for English Language Learners (ELLs/ESL students)
  • Maintain consistent communication and positive partnerships with parents, guardians, colleagues, and school staff
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other required school activities
  • Fulfill all mandated reporter responsibilities in accordance with state laws and school policies
  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and team-oriented school culture
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a closely related field from an accredited college or university (required)
  • Valid Wisconsin DPI Teaching License in the appropriate licensure area or eligibility to obtain a License with Stipulation (Emergency License)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency required for bilingual teaching positions
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Common Core Standards and evidence-based instructional practices
  • Experience supporting English Language Learners (ELLs) preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to meet changing school needs
  • Ability to successfully pass all required background checks

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed primarily in classroom and school settings at La Causa Charter School campus.
  • Flexible work hours may be necessary to support school events, meetings, and student needs.


Physical Demands:

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the classroom.
