Job description

(Sr/Staff) Frontend Engineer

Location: US

Level: Senior Individual Contributor

Team: Engineering

About Terzo

Terzo builds an AI-native enterprise data platform designed to power the commercial and financial operating system of modern companies. The platform transforms complex, unstructured enterprise data into structured, actionable intelligence used directly in operational and financial decision-making. Terzo sits at the intersection of data platforms, AI systems, and enterprise software, focusing on real production use cases rather than demos or point solutions.

The Opportunity

Terzo is hiring a Frontend Engineer to build and own a brand-new, AI-native frontend experience powering the Terzo Intelligence Products. This role focuses on customers interactions with intelligence experiences across analytics, workflows, AI agents, and marketplace.

Engineers in this role design and build interfaces turning complex data and AI-generated insights into clear, actionable user experiences. The frontend serves as the primary decision surface for customers, enabling them to manage spend, reduce risk, improve vendor performance, and drive measurable financial and operating outcomes. The work emphasizes applied AI and experiences built for trust, clarity, and speed.

This role owns the frontend foundation, including architecture, component systems, and interaction patterns. The work involves close collaboration with product, design, and platform teams to define how AI augments human judgment and drives action in real enterprise environments. The opportunity suits builders excited to shape a new product experience from first principles.

Terzo is building a brand-new, AI-native frontend experience for the Terzo Intelligence Platform. The frontend is the primary decision surface for enterprise customers where complex contract data, AI-generated insights, and autonomous agent outputs become clear, actionable experiences that help teams manage spend, reduce risk, and drive measurable financial outcomes.

You will own the frontend foundation: architecture, design system, component library, and interaction patterns. You will define how AI augments human judgment across analytics, workflows, agents, and marketplace.  You  collaborate directly with product, design, and platform engineers to shape the experience from first principles.

You might thrive in this role if you have
  • 5+ years building production frontend applications with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Expert understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization
  • Experience building greenfield interfaces or leading major product redesigns
  • Strong intuition for usability, interaction design, and information hierarchy - you push back on interfaces that create confusion
  • Experience translating complex data and AI outputs into intuitive, trustworthy user experiences
  • Comfort designing clean API contracts in close collaboration with backend teams
  • High ownership mentality with pride in craft, code quality, and product outcomes
  • Clear communication across engineering, design, and product partners
You could be an especially great fit if you have
  • Experience building AI-assisted or AI-driven user experiences (copilots, agents, recommendations, automation)
  • Background designing analytics-heavy, data-dense, or real-time interfaces
  • Experience building or contributing to design systems and component libraries at scale
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and modern API consumption patterns
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
  • Prior work at a high-growth startup where you shaped frontend culture, not just shipped features
Why Join Terzo
  • Opportunity to build a greenfield, AI-native product experience from first principles
  • Real ownership over frontend architecture, design systems, and user experience
  • High-impact role shaping how enterprise customers interact with AI
  • Close collaboration with product, design, data, and platform teams
  • Clear runway for growth as the platform and product surface expand
Benefits & Perks
  • Competitive salary
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Employee stock option plan
  • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with employer contribution
  • Generous vacation and sick leave
  • Flexible work arrangements
  • High-quality equipment for home and office
  • Strong culture of collaboration, mentorship, and continuous improvement
