Jones, Skelton & Hochuli (JSH) is the second largest law firm in Arizona. Founded in 1983, we are headquartered in downtown Phoenix, Arizona, with offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Salt Lake City, Utah. JSH defends clients of all sizes, across multiple industries in Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. Clients are represented by trial and appellate attorneys who are familiar with the industries they serve and the current needs of their clients. Today, JSH has over 130 attorneys and 130 legal support staff, many of whom have spent their entire career at JSH.
Jones, Skelton & Hochuli is growing and we are looking to hire a Legal Staff Development Manager. The Legal Staff Development Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of legal staff/support staff operations. This role oversees the supervision of legal assistants, including hiring, performance evaluations, and terminations. This position also oversees, supervises, and works closely with the Paralegal Manager, Legal Support Manager, and Back-Up Team Coordinator to ensure seamless collaboration. Candidates must have 3+ years of law firm experience, preferably in a staff management position. This position requires familiarity with law firm protocols, strong written and verbal skills, the ability to provide great attention to detail, exemplify professionalism, value confidentiality, with demonstrated leadership, and organizational skills. There will be expectations of travel to all JSH office locations. Candidates must be highly motivated and have a stable work history, exceptional communication, and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
