MANAGER - STAFF DEVELOPMENT
SENIOR DE-ESCALATION SPECIALIST
SBHS is looking for an experienced Senior De-Escalation Specialist/Staff Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The senior de-escalation specialist will oversee the de-escalation specialist team, provide supervision and assist the specialists in total consumer care through implementation of appropriate therapeutic approaches within the therapeutic milieu . The de-escalation specialist will provide direct therapeutic care to all consumers throughout the lifespan who are in psychiatric crisis to intervene and stabilize behaviors . The senior de-escalation specialist will also oversee CPI instructors at our facility to assure they are applying competent education on the skills . This role is responsible for mentoring and coaching clinical staff as part of the mentoring program . T he senior de-escalation specialist is to report to and lead behavioral interventions with consumers in crisis, assess crisis situations and determines the appropriate level of intervention required , ensure appropriate CPI techniques are being used, and debrief with staff after interventions.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's preferred. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in crisis intervention and mentoring skills REQUIRED. 3-5 years experience preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION : Verbal De-Escalation Training and Milieu Management Training REQUIRED.
