Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

In addition to providing patient care, the Clinical Coordinator (RN) is responsible for facilitating the daily patient flow through the department and supervising the patient care delivery on each shift. The Clinical Coordinator will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. The Clinical Coordinator will perform multiple clinical and coordination tasks with a high degree of competency. This position requires knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of clinical care.

Education:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.

Experience:

Two years of health care/patient care experience is required.

Supervisory experience is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or compact state licensure in nursing is required.
