This role is based out of our Martinsburg, West Virginia, hub. We are specifically seeking a local transit expert who knows and loves the community, is comfortable navigating our city's unique layout, and can seamlessly manage our surrounding regional routes.
Your Impact: What You'll Do
As a Transit Driver, you hold the safety and comfort of our community in your hands. Daily, you will:
  • Deliver Safe Transit: Execute scheduled and on-demand transit routes in a safe, courteous, and defensive manner, strictly adhering to all West Virginia traffic laws and Omega safety protocols.
  • Practice Vehicle Stewardship: Conduct rigorous pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluids, brakes, tires, safety gear). You are the first line of defense in maintaining a clean vehicle and reporting mechanical needs immediately.
  • Be a Passenger Advocate: Provide hands-on, respectful assistance for passengers with mobility challenges, including professional boarding/de-boarding and the expert securing of wheelchairs and assistive devices.
  • Maintain Precision Documentation: Keep meticulous, accurate logs for trips, mileage tracking, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.

The Essentials (Required Qualifications)
To ensure the absolute safety of our community, all candidates must meet the following mandatory criteria:
Licensing & Experience:
  • CDL License: Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) Endorsement (Required).
  • Professional Driving: Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience (Experience in healthcare transport, shuttle services, or transit settings is preferred).
  • Local Knowledge: Strong, functional knowledge of Martinsburg, WV, and the surrounding Berkeley and Jefferson County road networks.

Safety & Compliance:
  • Driving Record: A clean driving record with no major violations or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years.
  • Clearances: Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive physical and mandatory pre-employment drug/alcohol screenings.
  • Age Requirement: Minimum of 18 years old (21+ if interstate transport is required).
