Staff Auditors are provided a wide variety of diversified auditing and accounting assignments under the supervision of different professionals. Assessment of performance is based on the quality of work, application of auditing and accounting knowledge, and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
  • Performing audit or review procedures, or assisting in other projects, as assigned
  • Understanding the client’s business and industry and accounting and control systems
  • Developing an understanding of SingerLewak’s audit approach
  • Assessing risks and evaluating the client’s internal control structure
  • Performing and documenting analytical procedures, substantive tests, and tests of controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues
  • Reviewing or assisting in the drafting of financial statements and other client deliverables
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting or related field
  • Must be CPA eligible and working towards obtaining the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam.
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments and efficiently and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States and United States Generally Accepted Auditing Standards
  • Proactively seeks knowledge, new tasks and responsibilities.
This is a nonexempt position and is eligible for overtime pay at time and a half of hourly rate.
