* Proactively evaluates accounting processes and recommends process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and control effectiveness while maintaining audit integrity.
* Serve as a resource for process standardization and best practices across the team.
* Lead root cause analysis for accounting issues and implement sustainable solutions.
* Prepares schedules for corporate reporting.
* Provides record of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
* Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for managers.
* Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
* Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
* Collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state and local reports and tax returns.
* Serves as back-up for other accounting duties.
* Supports the preparation of year-end audit files and analysis.
* Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may provide technical leadership to lower level Accountants including carrying out lead responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and laws and the organization's policies and procedures.
