Job description

SLUCare Physician Group, the academic medical practice of Saint Louis University School of Medicine, is seeking a PRN Critical Care Physician to provide supplemental coverage within our Critical Care Medicine program. This flexible opportunity is ideal for physicians seeking part-time or additional clinical work, with preference given to candidates interested in overnight coverage and those with Sleep Medicine training or experience.

The physician will provide high-quality critical care services in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team while supporting the academic mission of Saint Louis University.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient critical care coverage in adult intensive care units on an as-needed basis
  • Support overnight and weekend coverage needs
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers, residents, fellows, nursing staff, and consulting services
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care coordination
  • Support teaching and supervision of residents and fellows when applicable
  • Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine
  • Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians encouraged to apply
  • Sleep Medicine fellowship training or board certification preferred
  • Interest in night coverage and flexible scheduling
  • Eligible for Missouri medical licensure and DEA registration
