Job description

SJCRH
The Department of Pathology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Hematopathologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Member level. The position is on the Clinical track, with 80% effort devoted to clinical service and administrative efforts, and the remaining 20% effort will be focused on translational research and career development opportunities. Ideal candidates will have experience in diagnostic hematopathology. Opportunities for leadership in clinical flow cytometry are available to qualified candidates, particularly those with prior experience in laboratory management.
This recruitment is taking place at an exciting time in the Division of Hematopathology and Molecular Pathology and the Department of Pathology, which will be moving into new clinical space within the Clinical Center at St Jude. This includes new clinical laboratory space for the clinical immunopathology group. The immunopathology team has recently validated a clinical Spectral Flow Cytometry for acute leukemia diagnosis with additional assays pending for minimal residual disease and other hematopoietic abnormalities.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have an MD degree or a combined MD/PhD degree. In addition to a record of scholarly achievements, candidates must be board-certified in AP or AP/CP, and be board-certified or eligible for board certification in Hematopathology. Experience in laboratory management is encouraged.
