Job description

Henry Ford St. John Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatric Neurologist to join our growing Pediatric Subspecialty Division. The St. John Children's Hospital is located on the Henry Ford St. John Hospital and Medical Center campus in Detroit, MI.

This is an employed position consisting of approximately 90% dedicated clinical time and 10% teaching and academic time with Pediatric Residents and Medical Students.

The position includes a mix of outpatient consultations and longitudinal neurology care as well as shared inpatient consult coverage on a rotational basis. The division manages a wide range of neurologic conditions. 

You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team consisting of Pediatric Neurologist, and Pediatric Nurses, all supporting the comprehensive care of pediatric patients. The outpatient clinic is open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Opportunities for clinical research, quality improvement, and academic scholarship are available and encouraged. Faculty appointment through an affiliated medical school is available for qualified candidates.

This is an employed position offering a comprehensive and competitive benefit package. Henry Ford St. John Hospital is a non-profit healthcare organization and qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).

  • - Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Neurology Fellowship program.

  • - Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Neurology. 

  • - Demonstrated interest or experience in resident and medical student teaching is highly desirable. 

  • - Interest or experience in clinical research, QI projects, or subspecialty program development is a plus.
