Job description

Clinical Duties:
  • Preparing patients for examinations or treatments.
  • Taking and recording patients' medical histories and vital signs.
  • Assisting physicians during physical examinations.
  • Collecting samples for laboratory tests.
  • Performing basic laboratory tests and preparing specimens.
Administrative Duties:
  • Scheduling patient appointments and managing appointment software.
  • Handling patient inquiries, billing, and insurance verification.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in examination rooms.
  • Ordering and maintaining medical supplies and equipment.
  • Recording patient information in medical records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Education Required HS Diploma or Equivalence
  2. License/Certification/Registration(s) Required Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program
  3. Experience/Skills Required- One (1) year previous experience in a medical setting of relevant experience required. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills. Bilingual preferred. Knowledge of Computer Technology preferred. Successful completion of St. Barnabas Hospital orientation.
