KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
(responsibilities include, but are not limited to)

Responsible for cleaning and the overall appearance of the store
Maintains cleanliness of sales floor, work areas, and storage area
Ensures a safe and secure work environment
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures
Clean, dust, and wipe display fixtures and furniture; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers
Replace burnt out light bulbs
Refill restroom dispensers
Assist with the setup of facilities for sampling events, classrooms, events, etc.
Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum carpets
Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc. (training will be provided)
Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments
Must clean and sanitize work areas
Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Be able to use as directed
Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools as needed
Wash accessible interior and exterior windows. Clean blinds. Launder cleaning rags and dust mops
Works various shifts, days or nights as assigned by Store/Department Manager in accordance with the Company's business needs
Notifies immediate supervisor of out-of-stock cleaning products

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Provides premier customer service, including greeting and responding to questions to all customers and staff
Responds quickly and in a friendly manner to customer inquiries and complaints
Reports all irregular issues and problems to the Store/Department Manager for solutions
Ensures a safe and clean work environment
Maintains good communication with store management, department manager, and associates

Cross Training

Store Support Associates exemplify teamwork and are open to and willing to be trained and step in when needed in all departments and similar skilled areas for filling and development opportunities.

SAFETY, LOSS PREVENTION AND PROCEDURAL COMPLIANCE

Follows Company guidelines for managing confidential information
Follows safety and hygiene practices such as: using proper personal protective equipment (PPE), washing hands, wearing a hair net, wearing a clean uniform per shift
Ensures satisfactory maintenance, appearance and condition of assigned facilities to comply with safety and environmental codes and ordinances
Complies with all OSHA requirements


WORKING CONDITIONS

A Support Services Associate may be exposed to various temperature changes and work environments. Ability to sit and/or stand for long period is a must. Work includes eye-hand coordination, repetitive arm and hand movements, along with frequent interaction with customers and other associates. Noise level is moderate to loud.
