What You'll Do:
Heavy Duty Diesel Technicians are responsible for diagnosing truck problems and performing truck repairs. Technicians create repair plans and fill out parts requisitions for needed parts. They are also responsible for tagging all warranty parts that are being replaced and for turning in parts with core value. Technicians must also communicate updates to their Foreman daily and must maintain toolboxes organized and workstations clean and safe. Technicians perform tasks and possess skills noted below and have efficiency ratings of 85% or above.

Responsibilities & Skills Assessment:
D-Level Technician:
  • Perform Basic chassis repairs
  • Perform Basic engine repairs
  • Able to Remove & Install chassis components
  • Able to perform preventative maintenance
  • Competent in Internal/factory warranty processes

C-Level Technician:
  • Basic diagnostic skills
  • Comfortable with major vendor/factory repairs and procedures
  • Can perform most chassis repairs
  • Can perform most engine repairs
  • Able to perform complete engine Remove & Install

B-Level Technician:
  • Advanced diagnostics skills
  • Complete engine repairs within SRT time
  • Complex chassis repairs within SRT time
  • Knowledgeable on all vehicle component repairs
  • HVAC

A-Level Technician:
  • Proficient on all vehicle component repairs
  • Able to diagnose all vehicle component failures
  • Competent in root cause failure analysis
  • Vibration analysis
  • Aftertreatment repairs
  • Aftertreatment diagnostics
