Job description

Position Summary:
The Senior Wireless Deployment Engineer is a critical technical role responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, and lifecycle management of enterprise wireless networks. This position serves as a senior subject matter expert (SME) for Aruba and Juniper Mist wireless solutions, providing technical leadership across pre-sales, implementation, and post-deployment support. The Senior Wireless Deployment Engineer also provides front-line engineering support for complex customer environments and acts as an escalation point for advanced wireless and RF-related challenges.

Primary Position Tasks: Listing of the primary tasks the position will be responsible for:

  • Deployment of Enterprise Wireless LAN solutions (HPE, Juniper)
  • Design solutions that meet customer/project requirements.
  • Audit existing wireless networks to evaluate performance, identify flaws, and recommend improvements based on industry standards.
  • Support the installation, configuration, and validation of wireless solutions in complex environments. (Higher Ed, HealthCare, DoD)
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure operational success.
  • Maintain industry certifications as required
  • Maintain project timelines and deliverables while working in a dynamic environment.
  • Other business duties as assigned

Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5-7 years of industry Experience

Manufacturer Knowledge and Certifications:

  • HPE Aruba Networking Professional - Campus Access
  • HPE Aruba Networking Professional - Security
  • Juniper JNCIA-MistAI-Wired
  • Juniper JNCIS-MistAI-Wireless
  • Ekahau ESCE Troubleshooting or Advanced
  • Expert Level Certifications in HPE (Aruba/Juniper) - desired

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Advanced understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
    • Experience using wireless survey tools such as Ekahau & Hamina
    • Advanced knowledge of RF concepts including RSSI, SNR, Channel Sizing, Modulation, OFDMA, WPA2/3, DFS, 802.1x, etc.
    • Experience supporting campus or enterprise WLAN environments
    • Experience supporting 802.1x environments using Aruba ClearPass
    • PKI Knowledge

    Essential Elements (Mental; Physical; Equipment used):

    Required to lift 20# boxes overhead, required to sit for periods of 2 -3 hours at a time.
