A successful Storage and Virtualization Administrator - Senior+ Level candidate will have: * A detailed understanding of the storage and virtualization processes * Detailed knowledge about server virtualization and hardware * Strong Experience with VMware vSphere and managing ESXi hosts and virtual machines * Ability to troubleshoot VMware vSphere and hardware related issues * Excellent customer service skills The ideal candidate will have: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Experience with VMware vCenter and ESXi * Experience with maintaining and patching VMware vSphere environment * Ability to perform incremental and full back-ups with Commvault * Strong mentorship skills * Strong leadership skills Key Tasks & Responsibilities From PWS/SOW * Designs, monitors, maintains, and heads the engineering process of an organization's versatile and secure information storage environment and backup solutions, such as high-capacity databases, networks, and systems * Configures, implements, and administers storage strategies, solutions, and protocols * Provides technical and application support and backup, evaluates capacity planning for the present and future state of storage growth * Executes new installs, updates, and deployments, utilizing knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, computer applications, tech support, and business needs * This position may require occasional support for business development activities * Remote server and storage management (Preferred experience with Dell servers and storage solutions) * Attend meetings that are required by the section * Build, configure, and maintain virtual machines, servers, and storage solutions * Provide diagnostics and technical resolution for any local or remote assets * Troubleshoot and resolve trouble tickets with BMC Remedy and ServiceNow * Provide outstanding service by interacting directly with customers seeking resolution * Communicate issues and recommendations back to leadership in a clear and concise manner * Document work to share with the Storage and Virtualization team Education & Experience Require d: * B achelor's degree or its equivalent, and 2 - 4 years of related experience Desired: * Direct experience with VMware vSphere * Experience with storage and hardware solutions for virtualized computing environments Certifications * Security+, or other qualifying IAT II certification (required) * VMware VCP certification with the ability to obtain within 120 days (required) * Dell VxRail Operate certification with the ability to obtain within 120 days (required) Security Clearance Required: * Applicants must have eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance Desired: * Active Secret or TOP Secret Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.) * Shift - This is a 24/7/365 mission and day, swing, and mid-shift are needed. Rotating shift may be required. $110,000 - $130,000 a year The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. The posted range is appropriate for a typical candidate meeting, at a minimum, all the core requirements of the position.
