Responsibilities

A.O. Smith Corporation (Nashville, TN) seeks to hire a Sr. RPA Developer. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, and four (4) years of Hands-on RPA development experience, which includes a deep understanding of RPA best practices and methodologies, including development experience with a mainstream programming language. The candidate must also have a demonstrated ability in debugging, logging, error handling, and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Lead the design, configuration, and maintenance of RPA scripts and workflows to automate tasks across various business functions and make strategic decisions related to project architecture, technology stack, and implementation approaches.
  • Analyze and map business processes to assess automation feasibility, identify potential efficiencies or enhancements and work closely with business users to understand their needs and translate them into detailed project designs and specifications.
  • Assess and confirm the value realization of automation initiatives and maintain thorough documentation for all automation projects, including design documents, process maps, and performance reports.
  • Estimate project costs and benefits, identify necessary resources, and evaluate potential software vendors or tools, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate functional testing to ensure automations meet defined objectives, and prepare User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, facilitate testing sessions with stakeholders to validate outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed go-live plans, ensuring a smooth transition of automations to the production environment, and manage any post‑deployment issues or adjustments.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials and provide ongoing support and training to business users to ensure effective adoption and usage of automation solutions.
