The Senior Credit Analyst helps commercial lenders by preparing loan presentation summaries and maintaining customer relationships.  They also assist with all aspects of preparing credit analysis for loan requests, including financial statement analysis, collateral analysis, risk rating recommendations, trend analysis, and identifying the credit’s strengths and weaknesses.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Spreads and analyzes financial information of new and existing Commercial loan customers and completes covenant calculations and cash flows.
  • Assists lenders in preparing loan presentation summaries for new loan requests, annual reviews, and modifications.
  • Utilizes third-party vendor information to enhance and support the analysis in the Loan Presentation Summary.
  • Develops a broad knowledge base of commercial products and services, including loan policy, documentation, structuring, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists lenders in gathering financial and general business information.
  • Completes ongoing monitoring of customer files.
  • Accompanies lenders on customer/prospect calls and inspections and performs related tasks, as required.
  • Performs real estate valuation functions such as maintaining workflows and tracking, reviewing for compliance, completing or reviewing appraisals, evaluations, and validations, and other related tasks.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Required for this position: Strong attention to detail, understanding of credit, advanced organizational skills, ability to work under deadlines, independent thinking, analytical skills, self-motivation, communication skills, and demonstrated teamwork.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 year college degree with a preferred emphasis in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of Credit or related banking experience preferred
  • Proven ability to assess risk, identify opportunities, and recommend solutions that support company goals
  • Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail required
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed
  • Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
  • Service-oriented, polite, and respectful
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently until project completion

Regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
