Job description

Retail Loan Processor

This position is primarily responsible for preparing loan documents which adhere to the guidelines of Bank First Loan Policy and federal regulations. This position requires a good knowledge of loan processing and documentation, good customer service skills, attention to detail, computer skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks and work well in a group environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review loan applications to ensure the banks and secondary market standards are being met and communicate recommendations if standards are not being met.
  • Accurately prepare, process loan documents using software applications and computer systems.
  • Prepare and review early disclosure and closing packages.
  • Actively process multiple loans each day while multitasking.
  • Prioritize work flow so sensitive files are handled in a proper order.
  • Assure compliance with all regulatory and governmental standards, guidelines, rules and regulations, and the applicable state regulatory authorities, and applicable federal, state and/or local ordinances, administrative regulations and statutes.
  • Interact with all employees to create and maintain a harmonious, professional and productive atmosphere.
  • Perform the duties of other loan processors as needed.
  • Adhere to the bank's Code of Ethics.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

  • Experience in mortgage operations and/or banking preferred
  • Must be able to establish good working priorities, organize work, meet deadlines and adjust to changes in priorities in a fast-pasted working environment.
