Senior Project Manager – Hygienic Process Piping


Position Summary


Our client, a leading industrial contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex hygienic process piping projects within the food & beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, and other sanitary processing industries.


This individual will oversee multiple projects from award through closeout, ensuring exceptional financial performance, schedule execution, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing hygienic process piping installations, excels at building client relationships, and has a proven ability to lead high-performing project teams.


What You'll Do

  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple hygienic process piping projects simultaneously.
  • Develop project execution strategies, identify project risks, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate activities between operations, field leadership, fabrication teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. Monitor project performance and communicate schedule, financial status, risks, and opportunities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Own overall project financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, productivity tracking, cost control, billing, and profitability.
  • Manage purchase orders, subcontract agreements, change orders, and contract administration.
  • Drive project schedules to ensure milestones are achieved while proactively addressing delays and implementing recovery plans when necessary.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams while developing staffing plans to support project demands.
  • Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Support conflict resolution and promote clear communication across all project stakeholders.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and partner with field leadership to minimize incidents and rework.
  • Participate in investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning when required.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement best practices to enhance project execution and operational performance.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of project management experience within industrial construction, with significant experience in hygienic/sanitary process piping.
  • Proven success managing multiple complex capital projects simultaneously.
  • Experience delivering projects within industries such as food & beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other sanitary processing environments.
  • Strong understanding of hygienic process piping systems, including stainless steel fabrication, sanitary welding, and applicable industry standards.
  • Excellent financial management, scheduling, contract administration, and change management skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience coaching and developing project management professionals.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • PMP certification preferred.
