As a Project Manager, youโ€™ll take ownership of civil and structural engineering projects for major airports in the Carolinas. Typical projects include airfield improvements, land/site development, and transportation-related tasks.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Lead and manage projects, overseeing progress and ensuring quality delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and agencies throughout all project phases.
  • Conceptualize civil design approaches for airfield and site development projects using advanced engineering techniques.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex challenges, including conflicting design requirements and material limitations.
  • Supervise design tasks and manage project coordination with clients and local officials.
  • Lead, review, and mentor less experienced engineers and technical staff, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Participate in contract bidding and administration; observe project activities on-site.
  • Scope and develop level of effort for new projects.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, supporting business development and proposal efforts.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of aviation planning, design, and/or engineering experience, or experience in a closely related transportation infrastructure field.
  • Demonstrated project management experience delivering engineering projects within a consulting environment.
  • Established relationships and experience working with aviation clients and stakeholders throughout North Carolina.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and other industry-standard engineering design and analysis tools.
  • Experience preparing engineering reports, construction plans, technical specifications, and supporting documentation in accordance with FAA, UFC, and/or ICAO standards.
Ideally, You'll Also Have
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina, or the ability to obtain reciprocity.
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Direct airfield civil engineering design experience, including runways, taxiways, aprons, and associated landside infrastructure.

The base salary range for this position is $92,100.00 to $136,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
