Who You Are
We are currently searching for a Senior Software Product Manager who will be responsible for product planning and strategic planning activities for new and existing robotic software products. You will be defining product requirements to support market opportunities, customer needs, and future development priorities, while managing the introduction of new products and supporting new and existing robot and PC software solutions. This role provides the opportunity to bridge current capabilities with future customer needs while building significant expertise in FANUC's software-based solutions and tools.
How It's Done
  • Define new and existing software product requirements to support market opportunities, customer needs, and future development priorities
  • Develop and maintain product presentations, competitive analysis material, technical sales support material, and product information
  • Support evaluation, prioritization, and planning activities related to development requests
  • Support scheduling, progress tracking, issue management, and prioritization activities to ensure effective maintenance and enhancement of existing products and successful introduction of new products
  • Specify, develop and execute test plans while working closely with groups like FANUC R&D to evaluate new products
  • Prepare technical marketing materials and pricing recommendations
  • Support application engineers and regional engineering groups with training material and subject matter expertise
  • Support product evaluations, demonstrations, proposal development, and application feasibility assessments
  • Identify software product concerns, limitations, and critical issues and manage their resolution
  • Support trade show and marketing initiatives

What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience with demonstrated success in a Product Management or related position.
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following areas: Robotic simulation, custom robotic interface development, code development on applications for industrial robotics
  • Understanding of applicable standards (ISO, RIA, etc.)
  • Robot and robot PC software experience (i.e. KAREL, ROBOGUIDE, TP programming, etc.)
  • Advanced Project management skills (i.e. planning and administrative skills)

What Would Be Even Better
  • 8+ years of related industry experience.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in modern communication / interface protocols and robotic control methods (MQTT, ROS, etc.)
  • Experience with 2D and 3D design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
  • Customer-focused with strong communication and presentation skills
