Summary

OneStream is looking for product champions to enthusiastically drive innovation that keeps pace with our industry-leading growth and achieves 100% customer success. As a OneStream Senior Product Manager, you will be identifying potential product usability features through stakeholder feedback, drafting product requirements, working closely with other product managers, developers, and quality analysts during the build cycle and assisting in the development of documentation and training materials to enable internal and external stakeholders to sell, position, implement and support the OneStream Platform.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Determine product priorities through interaction with internal and external stakeholders. Become the "voice of the customer" as it relates to making OneStream easy to use for our end users and easy to manage for administrators.
  • Serve as the product owner for multiple solutions or features and main point of contact for the solutions/features throughout the organization.
  • Lead the strategy, tactics, and delivery timelines for a product areas.
  • Lead customer focus groups through technical understanding of product features and capabilities.
  • Proactively explores innovation opportunities driven by technology, customer needs, and competing market.
  • Help create, define, and refine product processes.
  • Conduct research to identify customer needs, competitor analysis, and market gaps.
  • Provide guidance to Business Analysts for when creating acceptance criteria and test plans by sharing knowledge to Business Analyst.
  • Create prototypes without assistance to enable Engineering's understanding of requirements.
  • Deeply immersed in the full development lifecycle all the way to general availability, intermingling with developers, quality analysts and others.
  • Continuous hands-on learning of OneStream's comprehensive, unified CPM platform as you strive to expand your current OneStream expertise.
  • Consistently research ways to improve monitoring, discover issues, and deliver better value to the customer.
  • Must be hands-on and willing to deeply learn the OneStream product and related MarketPlace solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members in areas of expertise of the OneStream product.
  • Drafts strategy and product updates for leadership team.
  • Sound communication and presentation skills to effectively explain and demonstrate how product concepts impact customer requirements.
  • Develop and deliver documentation and training materials to inform relevant stakeholders on new features. Enable and educate Presales, Sales, and Marketing on new offerings.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Presales team members to showcase new features in marketing and sales materials.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology or similar.
  • 10 years of experience that includes Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Product Management, solutions delivery, business analysis, training, and documentation management.
  • Experience with CPM domain: Financial modeling, data integration, consolidation, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented languages such as Java and C++.
  • Hands-on technical experience with CPM applications, such as financial model and metadata design, data integration, dashboards, graphs, and report authoring.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions.
  • Experience with CPM applications such as:
    • OneStream
    • Oracle Hyperion
    • SAP
    • Other CPM solutions

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in building enterprise software solutions.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Office 365, and Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience with Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart or any other flow chart software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting terms and systems.
  • Product Manager Certification (PMC) a plus, experience with CPM applications a plus.
  • CPA or related finance, including Big 4, experience a plus.

  • Ability to effectively communicate across the organization with cross-functional team members.
  • Takes initiative to learn new technologies and product processes to share with the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Deep understanding of competitors, including their features and roadmap strategy.

  • Strong user of Microsoft tools such as Excel and Visio with exposure to SQL Server and VB.NET or similar.

  • Excellent listening, verbal, public speaking, and written communication skills.
  • Foundational understanding of Commercial Software Lifecycle.
