What you'll do

This role sits at the critical intersection of technical architecture, business strategy, and go-to-market enablement. As the Senior Product Manager for Docusign Compliance Platform, you will be the single owner responsible for defining the product strategy that powers Docusign's Audit and Monitor solutions, serving our largest enterprise customers. Your success will be measured by your ability to translate deeply technical, multi-system impact into tangible compliance outcomes and ensure our most strategic initiatives launch efficiently. This role sits at the center of Docusign's compliance platform strategy, navigating highly matrixed, cross-organizational conversations with multiple senior stakeholders who bring competing priorities. The Senior Product Manager is expected to remain composed and objective in sensitive discussions, listen carefully, surface trade-offs clearly, and use structured written communication to anchor alignment. They will proactively ground discussions in customer impact, data, and long-term platform health, while ensuring that decisions and rationale are documented in a way that is transparent, repeatable, and accessible to executives and partner teams across Docusign.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Product Management.

Responsibility

  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for Docusign's Audit and Monitor products, serving as the connective tissue between compliance platform strategy and customer experience

  • Profile high-value business use cases in the compliance space while navigating the complexity of highly technical, distributed systems (e.g., microservices architecture)

  • Drive the vision and requirements for complex, multi-system compliance platform changes, translating these into clear, developer-ready functional specifications and a seamless customer experience

  • Champion launch efficiency for new compliance features and packaging, proactively identifying and clearing technical debt and communication blockers

  • Define and operationalize the success metrics (KPIs) for compliance platform performance and customer-facing audit and monitoring features in collaboration with Data Science, using telemetry to guide continuous testing and experimentation

  • Develop a deep understanding of key customer personas, compliance workflows, and Jobs to be Done by leveraging primary and secondary research across the customer lifecycle

  • Facilitate requirements definition across teams to create detailed epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, while rigorously identifying dependencies and relative priority with other product managers

  • Ensure seamless collaboration with Program Management, Design, and Engineering to guarantee products ship on time and to quality standards

  • Drive successful go-to-market and adoption by collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Pricing, Sales, Support, Legal, Security, and other internal partners

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field (e.g., CS, EE, IT, Systems, MIS)

  • 6+ years of directly relevant product management experience for SaaS products with a Master's degree; or 8+ years with a Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture that enables product at high enterprise scale

  • Experience building and gaining consensus on comprehensive business cases for new product capabilities and innovations

  • Experience delivering products using iterative or Agile methodologies

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, a closely related advanced degree (M.S., M.Eng, M.IT.), or an MBA

  • Familiarity with enterprise compliance, audit, or risk management workflows and the regulatory context that drives them

  • Strong growth mindset: a consistent passion for continuous learning and willingness to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities shift

  • Sense of ownership: self-directed, able to manage a complex workload with autonomy, and a consistent track record of seeing projects through to launch, adoption, and ongoing health

  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills (verbal and written), with the agility to shift between strategic vision and technical detail based on the audience

  • Demonstrated systems thinking: proven ability to anticipate downstream impact, connect disparate technical components, and prioritize investments based on total system benefit

  • Proven ability to build lasting, cross-functional partnerships with both internal teams (Engineering, UX, Sales, etc.) and external groups

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $146,400.00 - $235,375.00 base salary

Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $140,100.00 - $206,775.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
