Job description

  • Own the basic process design of unit operations and the deliverables that drive projects forward
  • Develop the documented design basis, process descriptions, BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, and material selection diagrams that define each project.
  • Build process simulation models in Aspen HYSYS and develop heat and material balances.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and produce equipment sizing data sheets for compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, columns, separators, reactors, and more.
  • Design and size safety relief devices that protect personnel, equipment, and the process.
  • Interface directly with clients and provide field support throughout project execution
  • Deliver work that meets quality standards and applicable codes — on schedule and within budgeted hours
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil & gas or chemical industries
  • Hands‑on experience designing process equipment (vessels, pumps, exchangers, fired heaters, compressors)
  • Process simulation experience with Aspen HYSYS and hydraulic analysis tools (e.g., AFT Fathom/Arrow, Visual Flare)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to work in teams and present a positive image to clients
  • Detail‑oriented with a commitment to quality and timely delivery
