Senior Performance Test Engineer / Performance Tester
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Performance Tester with 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and executing performance testing strategies for enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in performance engineering, workload modeling, bottleneck analysis, capacity planning, and performance monitoring across web, mobile, APIs, and cloud-based applications. The candidate should possess hands-on experience with industry-standard performance testing tools and work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure application scalability, stability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance (soak), spike, scalability, and volume testing.
Create performance test strategies, plans, scripts, and execution reports.
Develop and maintain reusable test scripts using LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, or NeoLoad.
Design realistic workload models based on production traffic and business requirements.
Execute API performance testing for REST and SOAP services.
Analyze application response times, throughput, latency, CPU utilization, memory usage, garbage collection, and database performance.
Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with developers, DBAs, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to resolve issues.
Perform root cause analysis using profiling and monitoring tools.
Conduct capacity planning and scalability assessments.
Configure distributed load generators for large-scale performance testing.
Validate application performance in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Monitor application performance using APM tools during testing.
Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
