Job description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Interior Designer. You as our Senior Interior Designer will manage schedules and overall project management. Applicants should have extensive (4-6 years) experience in the interior architecture/design process from schematic concept development through production and installation, including a minimum of (2) years of Project Management experience.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously. Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Executing design direction to create drawings, 3D renderings, and furniture layouts
  • Managing drawing tasks for each project, while projecting deadlines and benchmarks for drawing deliverables
  • Create a project timeline (updated on a weekly basis)
  • Update client on a daily basis on progress and status of the project
  • Create visual proposal including all furniture layouts, pieces, and finishes
  • Select finishes, textiles, wall coverings and color palette for each room for each project
  • Meet client in person to go over furniture proposal, furniture layout and color palette for a project
  • Revise proposal if needed as per clients revisions or comments
  • Place orders for approved pieces
  • Communicating with vendors and subcontractors, coordinating with general contractors on site during the build-out phase
  • Check on furniture deliveries with WH manager and staff on a weekly basis to know what has been delivered to track on purchasing list per project

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design is preferred
  • At least 4-6 years of experience in the design field. High-end residential, hospitality and commercial experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D software. Ability to produce high-quality renderings a plus
  • Knowledge of design history and the ability to design within varying aesthetics constraints
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with project management software
  • Advanced knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
