Job Description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for execution of software development, technical implementation, software implementation, and maintenance projects as assigned for the NTTA's Information Technology Department. This is accomplished by leading cross-functional teams, working closely with vendor projects managers, customers, and management to ensure delivery on schedule and on budget, while ensuring quality is maintained, requirements are met, and scope is maintained. The Senior Project Manager will ensure all projects under their direction adhere to the change management and security policies of the IT Department, and to the PCI DSS. The ideal candidate will work well with multiple rapidly changing priorities and be a strong communicator. They will have an ability to build strong cohesive teams, especially when project team members do not report directly to them. They will also have a technical application and/or software development background with a proven track record of delivering software projects.

Starting Rate: Minimum: $111,525/annually - Midpoint: $146,744/annually

Retention Bonus: $1500

Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the United States immediately. This position is not available for H1-B visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Senior Project Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of assigned projects, including but not limited to, creating detailed work plans, tracking projects against established schedules and budgets, budget establishment, progress reporting, risk and issue management, and resource planning.
  • The Senior IT Project Manager may also be responsible for overseeing projects to be delivered by vendors, and to track and review their deliverables.
  • Manages the execution of projects for the IT Department, utilizing staff and consultant resources from various groups within the Authority.
  • Oversees vendor project managers and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • Coordinates with other Department Managers when resources are needed to achieve common objectives.
  • Adheres to established process and procedure for project execution established by the PMO and the IT Department.
  • Documents meetings and other critical conversations and decision points for the project.
  • Ensures project adherence to the NTTA Change Control Policy, and related procedures.
  • Ensures project adhere to NTTA Information Security Policy, and related security processes and procedures, and stays abreast of emerging security and privacy concerns in order to incorporate appropriate controls and safeguards into processes and projects.
  • Regularly reports project status, including risks and issues, to Management, stakeholders, and the project team.
  • May also serve as a Business Analyst for projects as needed.
  • Participates in procurements on behalf of the IT Department. This may include writing and reviewing scope documents and participating on the selection committee.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5-7 years of experience in IT, with a focus on IT project management.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance or a related field.
  • PMP Certification preferred
